The next AETFAT Congress will be held in Accra, Ghana, hosted by the University of Ghana. It marks the 75th anniversary of the association, and it is the first time it is being hosted in West Africa.

The University of Ghana // L’Université du Ghana
The University of Ghana (formerly University College of the Gold Coast) was established by an act of Parliament in 1948. After the Gold Coast colony gained independence, in March 1957, the name of the country was changed to Ghana, and the name of the university was also changed to the University of Ghana.
University of Ghana is the premier and largest university in Ghana, situated in Accra, the capital city of Ghana.
L’Université du Ghana (anciennement University College of the Gold Coast) a été créée par une loi du Parlement en 1948. Après l’indépendance de la colonie de la Gold Coast, en mars 1957, le nom du pays a été changé en Ghana, et le nom de l’université a également été changé en Université du Ghana.

GC Herbarium // Herbier GC
The Gold Coast Herbarium, with the acronym GC, was founded in 1948, with the establishment of the University College of the Gold Coast and housed in the Department of Plant and Environmental Biology (formerly Department of Botany). The Gold Coast Herbarium (GC) was renamed the Ghana Herbarium, maintaining the acronym GC, when the name of the university was changed to University of Ghana.
The Ghana Herbarium is the National herbarium for Ghana.
L’herbier de la Gold Coast, dont l’acronyme est GC, a été fondé en 1948, avec la création du University College of the Gold Coast et hébergé dans le département de biologie végétale et environnementale (anciennement département de botanique). L’herbier de la Gold Coast (GC) a été rebaptisé Herbier du Ghana, conservant l’acronyme GC, lorsque le nom de l’université a été changé en Université du Ghana.
L’herbier du Ghana est l’Herbier National du Ghana.
